Photo gallery: Gig Harbor Christmas tree lighting

A 35-foot Douglas fir, harvested from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, came to life at Skansie Park in Gig Harbor on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The event included holiday music, an appearance by Santa and Mrs Claus and more.

Downtown Gig Harbor will be lit up again next weekend during the Gig Harbor Yacht Club’s Lighted Boat Parade. The parade is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. More than 20 cookie stops will be set up along Harborview Drive during the parade.
