Photo gallery: Maritime Gig Festival Grande Parade

Spectators packed the Harborview Drive sidewalk on Saturday, June 3, a perfect day for a parade.

The Maritime Gig Festival Grande Parade included 98 entries, running the gamut from bands to clubs to politicians in old cars. An appreciative crowd enjoyed the show and collected pounds of candy tossed from passing paraders.

The fun continues Sunday, when festival highlights include a Local Makers pop-up market, the Wheels on the Water car show and the annual Blessing of the Fleet.

Sunday’s schedule:

Sunday, June 4 

10 a.m.: Local Makers Gig Harbor pop-up market opens 

11 a.m.: Wheels on the Water Car Show on Harborview Drive 

1 p.m.: The Blessing of the Fleet 

3 p.m.: Car show awards 

Sunday entertainment 

10 a.m.: Caroline Goodwin 

11 a.m.: Band Lele 

Noon: Dixie Dusters / NMS Ceremonial Band 

2 p.m.: Stacy Jones Band 

3:30 p.m.: The Shy Boys
