Rita Marie Stroh, a loving and loyal wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. Born on May 8, 1947, in Tacoma, Washington, to William and Aletta Brentin, Rita’s journey of life was one of unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her supportive and reliable nature made her a pillar of strength to all who knew her.

Rita spent her life in Gig Harbor, Washington, where she devoted 51 years of her career to the transportation and trucking industry. Her diligence and dedication as a Bookkeeper and Dispatcher were only surpassed by her unwavering dedication to her family. Rita’s love for her family was unmistakable and was the cornerstone of her life. This love extended beyond her immediate family to her 13 cherished grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

In addition, Rita was a passionate sports enthusiast, often seen cheering on her favorite teams, Seahawks, WSU, girls’ basketball and of course drag racing. Rita also enjoyed sharing moments with her loved ones at Mason Lake, a getaway cabin she created with her Husband in 1995. Her life was a demonstration of the quote by Barbara Bush, “To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.”

Rita is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick Stroh, and their three beloved children, Eric Stroh, Kristina Miller, and Michelle Biehl. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Aletta Brentin, and her brother, Rod Brentin. Rita’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life beautifully lived.
