Letter to the Editor | Wollochet Estuary is a gem because it lacks parking

Ref: Billy Sehmel’s July 1, 2025 letter:

“There was also invasive brush removal at Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit and Wollochet Estuary (a true hidden gem out of our parks, in my opinion).”

Wollochet Estuary is “hidden gem” because it has no parking…unless you want to park on the small grass lot with the “No Parking” sign. Otherwise, it’s only accessible by boat at high tide, swimming, or by trespassing on private property.

On the other hand, maybe it’s better kept that way.
