Letter to the Editor | Support Gig Harbor’s rich history and culture
I’m writing in support of Proposition #1 on our current election ballot.
I sailed into this harbor in 1972, in a small sailboat and never left. This Maritime City has always been a safe harbor for me, providing me a community in which to raise a family, enjoy my sailing and boating pastimes, and benefit from the many unique and diverse treasures it has to offer.
The Harbor culture is rich in history, full of stories and people who make it a special place. We all benefit from the many people and programs that support this community who rely on us to support them.
Now is the time to show our support in a tangible way; to vote YES for Proposition 1. It will provide so much for so little. Now, more the ever, is a time to feel you can make a difference — a real difference that will ensure that our special community will continue to grow and thrive. Make a difference. Vote Yes on Prop 1 !
