By 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, parking at Sehmel Homestead Park was already at a premium — just an hour after the festival started. Cars lined the sides of the roads leading to and along the park, where hundreds of visitors marveled at offerings.
Among glittering pieces of jewelry, bright paintings and luminous photographs, festival-goers could find handmade textiles, innovative woodworks, and creative glass designs. The art league also had its own tent outside the park pavilion (which housed the members show), where art league members and young artists drew and painted.
The festival continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Sehmel Homestead Park, 10123 78th Ave NW.
