Harbor Happenings | It’s Restaurant Week. Here are some of the deals

It’s Restaurant Week on the waterfront and that means that many downtown eateries are featuring special prices on their breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour menus.

For example, Brimstone, at 7707 Pioneer Way, has a barbecue platter with a choice of two meats and three sides for $27; and taco platters for just $13. They also have a couple of draft beers on special.

Other specials include:

B’s Bagels and Butters, 3308 Uddenberg Lane: A curried chicken sandwich on your choice of bagel.

Brix 25, 3315 Harborview Dr.: Two small plates and one drink for $38. Choose from soups, salads, clams, Kalua pork and cabbage, pasta or cheese fondue.

Fusion, 3110 Judson St.: Kolaches and croissant sandwiches.

The Galley, 2905 Harborview: $10 off any burger served with fries and your choice of side sauce.

Gig Harbor Thai Cuisine, 8805 N. Harborview, Suite 104: Three-course special for $29.

IScreamery, 7808 Pioneer Way: Three-flavor, mini-scoop flights for $7 and three hand-picked pints for $26.50.

Millville Pizza, 3409 Harborview Dr.: Dinner special of any 12-inch pizza, plus a salad or starter of your choice and two glasses of beer or wine for $40, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Tides Tavern, 2925 Harborview Dr.: Specials on wild salmon fish tacos, fish and chips and New York cheesecake.

FishTales

Learn about the world of six-gill sharks at Harbor WildWatch’s Cocktails and Fishtales at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Ocean5, 5268 Point Fosdick Dr. Malik Johnson from the Marine Center in Des Moines will talk about these elusive Salish Sea dwellers and why it’s important to protect them. No reservations needed.

Flock talk

Wilco Farm Store, 3408 Hunt St., will host a free workshop on raising chickens at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Topics include brooding and raising chicks, poultry nutrition, tips on keeping your flock healthy and safe, and more.

Waterfront walk

Join guides from the Waterfront Alliance for a “Pints, Myths and Maritime Spirits” tour at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12. The walk begins at Direction Apparel, then heads to Skansie Park, the Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard, Maritime Pier and 7Seas Brewing. The half-mile walk takes place rain or shine and lasts about an hour. Tickets are $30 for adults; $10 for children 12 and under, and includes two beverages. Sign up here.

Shamrock run

Get a jump on Saint Patrick’s Day with the Shamrock’n’ the Harbor 5K/12K family run along the Cushman Trail and the Narrows Bridge on Saturday, March 14. The Greater Gig Harbor Foundation sponsors the run to benefit the Senior Center. The 12K starts at 8:30 a.m.; the 5K at 9 a.m. The first 50 registrants get a fleece blanket and everyone gets a swag bag. All ages are welcome. Register here.

‘Forks to the Left’

Harbor History Museum kicks off a new “Hostess with the Mostest” exhibit at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, with a Humanities in the Harbor lecture titled “Forks to the Left: Formal Table-Setting Then and Now.” The exhibit features a collection of aprons worn by Gig Harbor women over the decades, and expands to showcase midcentury hostessing trends. Museum admission is free on March 14, with a suggested donation of $5 for the lecture.

Nature walk

The Kitsap County Native Plants group will lead a walk through Penrose Point State Park Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. March 17. Learn to identify native plants during the 2.3 mile exploration of the park’s easy loop. A Discover Pass is required for parking. The park is at 321 158th Ave. SW in Lakebay.

Art show

Two Waters Art Alliance’s 2026 Juried Show is on display at The Mustard Seed Project, 9016 154th Ave Court NW in Key Center. The opening reception and sale will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12.

Fun and games

Mondays and Thursdays are bingo nights at Hidden Harbor wine Library, 8805 N. Harborview Dr., Suite 204. Games start at 4:30 p.m.

The Float, 14511 Sherman Dr. in Purdy, has Trivia Night at 7:15 p.m. Wednesdays and karaoke at 8:30 p.m. Fridays.

The Beer Vault, 14004 Purdy Dr., has Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Live music

Thea Wescott takes the stage with guest Steve Fearey at Olalla Winery at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 13. Reserve tickets here.

Kimball Coffeeshop has an open mic at 6 p.m. Thursdays and live music with the billy Shew Band at 6 p.m. Friday, March 13.

At the movies

Wednesday’s Flashback Cinema movie at the Galaxy Theatres in Uptown is “La La Land” starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Showtime is 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15 it’s “North by Northwest (1959), with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint in this Alfred Hitchcock thriller. Showtime is at noon.

The Galaxy Classic on Friday, March 13, is “Friday the 13th” (1980), with a group of cam counselors stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while they’re trying to re-open a summer camp where a young child drowned years before.
