Harbor Happenings | Chum Festival celebrates salmon’s return

Posted on November 11th, 2025 By:

Celebrate the return of the salmon at Harbor WildWatch’s annual Donkey Creek Chum Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Donkey Creek Park.

Chum Festival activities promote sustainability, sound environmental stewardship, preservation of our maritime history and culture, responsible recreation, habitat preservation and shoreline restoration — one salmon at a time. Learn about the historic and cultural importance of salmon, enjoy salmon-themed arts and crafts projects and science experiments, and join in guided walks from Austin Park through txʷaalqəł Estuary.
