Clear skies and beaming sun greeted market-goers attending the first day of the Waterfront Farmers Market at Skansie Brothers Park on May 21, 2026.

The market, replete with many kinds of vendors — flowers, soaps, steamed buns, and more — saw a bustling crowd within its very first hour. The market featured vendors both locally from Gig Harbor and from places further afield, including Tacoma, Yakima, and even Vermont.
