Get on the bus for the 2025 Waterfront Farmers Market
The Waterfront Farmers Market season launches Thursday, May 22, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park on Harborview Drive.
Community Sponsor
Community stories are made possible in part by Peninsula Light Co, a proud sponsor of Gig Harbor Now.
It’s the 10th year of the popular market, organized by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance.
The market will consist of 48 booths most weeks, with some 70 vendors rotating through. Click here for a list of scheduled vendors.
Farmers Market manager Meg Norris said the alliance gives priority to agricultural vendors, but plenty of crafts and other booths also will populate the market.
The market continues from 1 to 6 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 28.

Shuttle bus
A major addition for 2025: A free shuttle bus will bring customers to the market from two church parking lots west of the waterfront.
Market attendees can park at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 8002 Dorotich Street or at the Gig Harbor United Methodist Church at 7400 Pioneer Way. A shuttle will whisk them down the hill to the market, and take them back when they’re done shopping.
The whole three-stop trip shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes.
The alliance piloted a shuttle service for the final month of the 2024 market. Sponsorship by BBQ2U restaurant allowed the shuttle to continue this year.
The first market kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Thursday.
“This market has become a time-honored tradition in our community, and we’re inviting everyone to join us on May 22nd to help kick off the festivities and make this market season one to remember,” Waterfront Alliance Executive Director Carrianne Ekberg said in a news release.
Growing community, growing their businesses
The Peninsula Female Farmers Network will operate a co-operative booth at the 2025 market, giving smaller farmers an expanded chance to sell their goods. Read our story here.
