Organizers of the 18th annual Golferitaville Charity Tournament are looking for businesses to sponsor and golfers to play in the major fundraiser for Gig Harbor Midday Rotary.
Golferitaville is Friday, July 15, at McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard. The charity tournament raises funds for regional programs that support struggling children and families.
It’s the first full Golferitaville since before the pandemic. Scaled-back versions were staged in 2021 and 2020.

The tournament typically sells out, according to Rotarians. Discounted registration is available through July 1 at golferitaville.com. Through July 1, registration costs $175 for a single player or $700 for a four-player team.
Business sponsors also are being solicited. Click here for information on sponsorship opportunities.
Funds raised from the tournament support programs such as:
The tournament includes games or prizes at every tee; continental breakfast, lunch on the course and an awards dinner; and plenty of drinks, including margaritas and Bloody Marys. Prizes include $10,000, a car, a 55-inch smart TV and more.
“Golferitaville has a Key West/Jimmy Buffett vibe”, says Cheri Johnson, volunteer director of the tournament. “Golfers and sponsors are encouraged to wear tropical attire and you’ll see a few reggae wigs and flamingo outfits. Golf carts are decorated and Caribbean steel drums play throughout the day. Margaritas are the official beverage and businesses promote via themed activities and food all day long. It’s a one-of-a-kind tournament.”
The tournament starts with registration and a putting contest at 9 a.m.; play starts at 10:30 a.m.
McCormick Woods is located at 5155 McCormick Woods Dr SW in Port Orchard.
