More snow, frigid low temperatures possible this weekend

After a dusting of snow Wednesday night and low temperatures in the 20s Thursday night, Gig Harbor could see more of the white stuff over the weekend.

According to the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) outlook for March, it looks like temperatures will be below normal for the entire state. “The three-month outlook for spring (March through May) calls for increased chances of below normal temperatures statewide.”

More immediately, the National Weather Service forecasts new snow accumulation of less than a half-inch for the Gig Harbore area on both Saturday and Sunday evenings (Feb. 25 and 26). Meteorologists expect low temperatures in the low 30s both nights.
