The rules for fans
As with the previous two Fish Bowls played in Tacoma, the Peninsula School District will keep fans of the two schools separated. Those who leave during the game will not be allowed to return.
The district also does not allow “full face paint, full face masks, hand-held signs, whiteboards, sticks, balls, frisbees, anything that discharges powder or smoke, or newspapers.” Tailgating and artificial noisemakers are also verboten.

History of the game
This is the 48th Fish Bowl. Gig Harbor holds a narrow series edge, with 24 wins to Peninsula’s 23.
The 2024 and 2025 games were played at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma, as this year’s will be. The 2000 game was played at Bremerton Memorial Stadium, apparently because of a bomb threat in Purdy. And the 1988 game was played at the Tacoma Dome. Other matchups were at Roy Anderson Field in Purdy.
The 2020 game was played on Feb. 19, 2021, after the fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
