U.S. Rep. Randall to host town hall in Gig Harbor

Posted on May 19th, 2026 By:

U.S. Rep. Emily Randall, D-Bremerton, will host a town hall in Gig Harbor at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.

The freshman congresswoman announced the event in an email to constituents on May 19.

As with previous town halls, Randall’s office didn’t say precisely where in Gig Harbor the event will be. People who want to attend are asked to RSVP; those who do so will be notified of the location at least 48 hours before it starts.

Before a similar event in Tacoma in August 2025, Randall’s office cited “security guidance” as the reason for declining to provide a specific location.

Doors for the Gig Harbor town hall will open at 4 p.m. According to the announcement: “This town hall will feature members from Rep. Randall’s Youth Leadership Council. This event is open to all but will prioritize participation from local students and youth attendees.”

Previous town halls

The May 27 event will be the first town hall Randall has hosted in Gig Harbor during her 17 months in office. Previous Pierce County town halls were in Tacoma, in March and August of last year.

The March event, held amid cutbacks initiated by the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, drew an angry crowd of about 400 people to a middle school in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood.

In August, a smaller and more cordial crowd attended a town hall at the University of Washington’s downtown Tacoma campus.

Randall represents Washington’s Sixth Congressional District, which includes Gig Harbor and parts of Tacoma along with all of Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam, Grays Harbor and Mason counties.

She will also host a town hall on May 28 in the Jefferson County community of Chimacum.
