Letter to the Editor | PenLight members should have a say
As a member of the Peninsula Light Company since 1984, I would like to applaud L. Paul Alvestad for taking a stand for the membership.
I agree that a new building is probably needed, but we have done with the simple and adequate facility for 40 years. We should replace it, not exponentially upgrade.
The whole idea of a cooperative is that we, as members, get to have a say in the use of the funds available. We are already being priced out in every other avenue. Let’s keep a lid on the spending. It is our right to have a say in this important matter.
